A malign and incompetent company
I have written to Ofgem multiple times about EE's incompetent and, more importantly, malign behaviour but they will not discuss what they are doing about it with mere members of the public. After 3 months of waiting I reclaimed my credit balance by invoking the direct debit guarantee. Anyone owed money who has paid by DD should do the same by phoning their bank. The guarantee is absolute so your bank cannot refuse. You will be asked for a reason which is "over-payment". Following this EE has now re-billed my gas for the whole 18 months I was with them. They have applied a higher rate (that I never agreed to) to a period in the middle of the 18 months and now claim that I owe them money. I have made a complaint, which I will take to the ombudsman in due course. To anyone thinking of joining EE - Don't. To anyone who is already grappling with them please write to Ofgem, newspapers, etc.
