Pregnancy Policy Hidden – Denied Boarding Without Warning
We were denied boarding because I would reach 24 weeks pregnant during the cruise — something we were never clearly told at the time of booking. This “rule” was buried in the small print of their terms and conditions, not flagged or made obvious. Staff at the port were rude and dismissive, and we were offered no help, no refund, and no understanding. We were left stranded and devastated. P&O Cruises take your money, hide behind the fine print, and show zero compassion. If you're pregnant or want basic human treatment, avoid them. ______________________________________________ Thank you for your response, but I find it unacceptable that you're placing full responsibility on the travel agent when this is your policy. If a rule is important enough to deny someone boarding, it should be made clear and prominent — not buried in your booking conditions. Regardless of who took the booking, it is your cruise, your policy, and your responsibility to ensure that passengers are aware of such critical restrictions. At no point did anyone from P&O make this known before travel, and your staff at the port treated us with no compassion or care. Deflecting blame does not excuse the fact that we lost a holiday through no fault of our own. We were simply following the advice given, and your refusal to offer any resolution or goodwill speaks volumes about how little you value your customers once you've been paid.
