Long-haul same-day courier runs are where this shines

Did a same-day package run across two zip codes — 18 miles total — for a small business shipping a part to a repair shop. The distance-based fee came out to $22.75 and I kept all of it. That kind of job would barely be worth it on platforms that take a cut of the delivery fee. On Ryde it's genuinely profitable.
