Terrible Customer Service – Quality Issues Shifted to the Customer
In November 2024, I purchased a winter jacket from Elvine (model Reece, size M) for €419. After just three weeks, the zipper broke – a clear quality defect, which I reported directly to the manufacturer. Elvine’s response was beyond disappointing: Instead of offering an appropriate solution such as a repair, replacement, or exchange, they suggested sending a replacement zipper to the retailer, so I could pick it up and let a tailor to have it sewn in. For a product in this price range, such handling of customers is unacceptable. Elvine shifts the responsibility for quality defects onto the customer instead of addressing them directly. At the moment it is winter and temperature is below 10 degree outside. I have. This is not only poor customer service but outright disrespectful to buyers who pay for premium products and expect to be treated accordingly. I will avoid Elvine in the future and strongly advise against purchasing products from this brand if you value quality and customer service.
