Be prepared for surprises
We rented a Toyota Camry from Go Rental at Waiheke for 1 day. As instructed, I filled the car before returning it. To my surprise I was billed $12.42 for not topping up the car. I have rented cars from Hertz, Avis, Alamo, Budget all over the world but have never ever been charged extra after I filled the car full before returning. I made the mistake of trusting this company and did not take a photograph of the receipt, mileage & petrol before and after the rental period. I objected but without photographic evidence, it was a waste of time. They produced a receipt with the car number hand written on it. It could have been from another vehicle. So if you consider renting from this company, make sure you take a photograph of the mileage, petrol and of you filling up!!!! Good luck! Don’t believe the 5 star ratings!
