Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs! We booked a week (November 2024) at the Aguamar hotel Tenerife on the recommendation of Abbey Travel Dublin and were so disappointed. 1st room was filthy, bathroom had rust and black mould all over it. Moved next day to a better room but woken at 8am on Monday morning with major construction work next door which included huge plant and machinery breaking rocks. It continued until 5pm so could not stay near because of the noise. Ended up having to pay another €1,200 for another hotel for last 4 nights and no compensation from either the Aguamar Hotel or Abbey Travel 😡 Holiday from hell. Worst experience ever! So disappointed with Abbey Travel and will never use them again. On that reply to my review NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! My contract was with Abbey Travel (not the Aguamar hotel) who should have known what you were selling, there were 3 heavy plant ROCKBREAKERS NEXT DOOR WORKING FROM 8am until 5pm We couldn’t sit at the pool or the balcony for the noise!!! Why are you recommending hotels that you know nothing about? Shame on you taking people’s hard earned money!
