Nope...Never Again
Wanted to share what happened to our family today on princess cruise. Yes....we are currently onboard. We planned this family vaca months ago and gave to our adult kids as a Christmas gift. We all did the Medallion app....checked in online.....sent our pictures of our passports ....followed all directions to a tee. Boarding the ship We all scanned our medallions and went thru security......got to the last step of check in and our daughter in law realized she had grabbed her daughters passport instead of hers. The staff pulled her aside and discussed it and told her they had to leave the ship. While walking away another crew member motioned them over and said....you have your medallion..scan here and go aboard. They did. They can track you with your Medallion. So the one crew member tracked them down on ship and told them they had to get off. We asked if her drivers license was ok...he said no. Asked if we could have her birth certificate faxed....he said no. Asked if she could stay and not get off the ship at ports...he said no. She had a pic of her passport on her phone...he said no. They had her passport info in their system because she had to take a pic of it for online check in but that didn't work either. She was in tears with the entire family around her and this crew member smiled and laughed the entire time he was telling her they had to leave. It was awful. The crew escorted them off the ship . Family was crying. I asked the crew member that since my husband paid for the room if we could have access to it.....he said no. To me that's bs but nothing we can do. So....here we are....on this family cruise with two members left at port .....trying to find ride to airport and a way back to michigan from Florida. Never again will I cruise Princess. Mostly because of the crew members smug attitude and his laughing at our daughter while she was in tears.
