Big thumbs up for Chrysalis
I’ve just finished 3 years studying with Chrysalis (Level 3,4 & 5 qualifications) and although I had previously seen some of the negative feedback from (several) years ago, I honestly have only very positive experiences to report. I was slightly nervous when I started, as although a had a past degree, being in my late 50’s it was 35 years since I had written an essay, so a bit rusty! The course format, classes on a Saturday and work set and practice between each class, suited my circumstances (working full time) and it was reasonably priced. It also geared up through the years and got me back into the swing of submitting work gradually. You do have to be self-motivated and willing to put in the effort and people do drop out but we were left with a lovely group and we all supported each other through the tough times. The tutors are all knowledgeable in the field, enthusiastic and able to share their experiences from both private practice and employment and also fortunately quickly adapted to the new technology. We all moaned when work submission went on-line (from being handed in) but thank goodness we did in the circumstances . When lockdown hit, classes transferred to remote learning within a couple of months, with very few problems. We were also given access to excellent extra free webinars on a host of subjects on a weekly basis. Getting placements during COVID 19 was tough for many of my course colleagues; I’d started early so luckily worked at two placement agencies (one local, one national) and completed the 100 hours. Clearly chrysalis courses are not full time degree courses but if you want an affordable, informative and accredited course that can teach you both the practical and theoretical skills to become an ethical, safe and competent integrative therapist I would certainly recommend you to consider this provider.
