Excellent property managers, terrible sales agents
I have been a rental client of Brad Teal for approx 20 months and only ever received fantastic service from the Property Managers. Rebecca in particular was a standout. She was prompt, professional and friendly. Unfortunately, I've just settled on my first residential property purchase through Brad Teal and it was one of the worst experiences I have been through, and for that, I can only award a single star (if it was based on the purchase transaction it would be no stars). As a property investor, I had only ever had great experiences with Estate Agents but now I see why RE Agents get a bad name. The Brad Teal agent, David Thiessen, routinely ignored my calls, leading me to communicate via text message. It felt like he did his best to avoid communication with me (no phone call on settlement date). I feel I was a party to the transaction that was offered little respect along the way. Even from the day I said 'I would be interested in buying' (knowing full well financing wasn't an issue for me and I could settle quickly) - it took for me to say to his co-agent 'I don't think you're taking my seriously' to get any attention. It was not a pleasant experience and while I won't forget it any time soon, it's an experience nonetheless I want to put behind me as quickly as possible. When chasing my bond from the letting department, I was once again given excellent service from Rebecca who apologised for my sales experience and made sure management were informed (a follow up call from the CEO was appreciated). Regardless, I would urge anyone looking for an agent to not use David, particularly if you're female. It is a shame that an otherwise professional organisation would score so badly for the actions of one individual.
