Awareness - please read
I never do reviews but the practice was unsettling and this is an awareness post. This isn't aimed at the rep personally but the company practiaes Starting out with 23k price, down to 16k down to 9k. I had paperwork, window sample and all this in hand, as soon as i said I'm not making a decision right now i want to compare to my other qoutes took everything back started packing up. I didn't get any paperwork with any written qoute even of the ridiculous 23k. I understand there is sales, start high work down but the guessing games and what do you think it will be - is not for me. More concerning they was at my house for 1.5 hours and it was only the last 30minutes which included measuring and pricing. My 2 main concerns 1. The force that you must accept the qoute there and than I think some vulnerable people are at risk even though its ment to be a 2 year price promise 2. Business and profit I completely understand tripling profit margins I belive is unethical, again vulnerable people might of thought wow, 23k to 16k what a deal when in actually fact 10k would of been expensive for what I was getting a qoute for. I think hugely over charging is unethical, immoral and possibly a reportable issue to the FCA which I was be looking at. It really hit home knowing of a old lady that recently had been getting qoutes, several visits, no dates, no door chosen bought a ridiculously priced door deposit taken, and no further contacts. Thankfully with legal support was able to get her money back. Finally a little to do with the rep, at the end when I said I'm not going to make a forced decision right now, they knew I had and was waiting other qoutes, wouldn't give me anything written to confirm any price, to ring the office - if they honor it - i wont make any money on the deal - I wont be coming back - cost me £20 in fuel Unfortunately in sales you dont always win, but some people need time and leaving with that attitude is not going to win any business. Really disappointed that people still operate in this way!
