Utterly ridiculous from a nationwide business
I believed I had booked a large drum sander to utilise to finish a project. I had confirmation in my email to say I had indeed booked a sander along with the price. The email said someone would contact me about pick up/delivery, nobody did. I then phoned to ask someone what times etc I could collect and was told the person to speak to was busy. I left my phone number and the person never phoned back. I then phoned the next day to enquire when someone would get in touch and was told that the website is rubbish and even though I had booked equipment through the website staff are not notified and therefore are unaware. Was then told that the equipment was not even available. The person I spoke to then contacted other TP branches to try and find what I was looking for, but warned me that even the price on the website would not be correct! How ridiculous! The only reason for the second star is because the member of staff I eventually got in contact with, tried her best to be helpful and managed to secure me the same equipment from a different tool hire business. I felt she went above and beyond. Travis Perkins you are a large business, if your website is outdated and doesn't work then disable it! Totally stupid to let people book hire tools and then arrive to collect only to be told the website doesn't work! Sort yourselves out.
