I regret booking with this company for…Intrepid Inca trail and Amazon adventure
I regret booking with this company for my Peru trip. The experience was fraught with issues that ruined what should have been an incredible adventure. Firstly, I was unfairly fined by JetSmart Airlines for my carry-on bag, which complied with weight and reasonable size guidelines, yet I was singled out and charged. The damage to my backpack, caused by forcing it to fit their requirements, added insult to injury, and no meaningful support was provided. The provided duffel bag for the trek was poorly sized, making it impossible to pack essentials despite following the weight limit. The lack of clear guidance beforehand wasted time and caused unnecessary frustration for the group. As a solo traveler, I felt misled. The trip was marketed as solo-friendly but instead consisted of couples and groups of travelers. I spent the final evening and day entirely alone in Lima without any celebratory meal leaving me quite isolated. Overall, the poor organization, misleading information, and lack of empathy made this a deeply disappointing experience. I cannot recommend this company for solo travelers or those expecting clear communication and support. I would also note that the only compensation offered was the refund of the baggage charge and an intrepid voucher to spend towards my next trip with them … needless to say I declined the offer for the voucher and have yet to receive any compensation for the baggage charge…so if you choose to book with them and anything is wrong you will not receive ANY compensation.
