Just back from a tour of Croatia
Just back from a tour of Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina & Montenegro. This was our 4th RSD trip in 9 years so we knew what to expect. We enjoyed the tour, our guide Suat was mostly professional, funny & not too pushy. Our driver Joseph was excellent. As always the hotels are pot luck with a couple of very good ones & the rest mediocre. The last hotel in which we were staying for a week was disappointing because the rooms were very dated & had lots of things wrong with them. We opted for the dinner package for the first week but really we didn't have to as there were plenty of restaurants/cafés nearby to be able to get an evening meal. Also it really is about time RSD stopped calling the dinner package "Gourmet" as there is nothing remotely gourmet about it & there never has been. We avoided the all inclusive the second week & were glad we did as we were tired of buffet meals & there were plenty of places to eat out. Plus the inclusive drinks were very limited & of poor quality. As with all RSD tours you can have an enjoyable time if you have realistic expectations for the price you've paid. Also the guide & fellow travellers can make or break the trip & we were lucky this time.
