Refused a collection
I never want to give a bad review on a charity. And I have always donated to this charity in the past. Never again! I Had arranged to get a solid oak extendable table collected. I had to wait over a week as the date they first booked had to be changed for logistical reasons. I had a couple of calls from their office and on both occasions advised that it was table only, no chairs (as I was still using them as I had replaced the large table with a smaller one that fits my space better. At no time was I told that they only pick up tables with chairs! The collection guys arrived, were very rude saying they don’t collect tables on their own. They must have chairs as unsaleable without. I actually bought the table without chairs a few years ago. My mother suffered heart disease and I had always supported BHF even considering leaving a donation in my will. I won’t be doing that now, nor will I donate the bedroom furniture that is also in excellent condition. I did contact another charity who had no issues with there being no chairs. They collected it the same day and were delighted with it.
