Poor Plumbing Work on Kitchen Tap

Saw Rightio in local magazine for NG9 area with local Nottingham area code so phoned them for help with dripping kitchen tap. Was asked for my Credit Card number. Plumber came a few days later and said it needed a new tap. Later on discovered it was dripping much more and now into the area under the sink. Patched it up with duct tape as was expecting plumber to return and fix it in just a few days. Payment so far was for just over £170 + VAT. I got text message from bank to say payment rejected, but as it was for the right amount I accepted it. I assume Rightio had used the card number with an invalid PIN (maybe 0000?). Why had Rightio not told me how it would be dealt with? Plumber was supposed to appear again in near future to complete the job with payment to be just under £170 + VAT. But he didn't appear within expected timescale so phoned Rightio on same local number and was told he hadn't got the new tap yet. Gave up at this point as didn't want to spend more money for possible poor work and/or slightly iffy payment processing. Communication by text messages very poor as although I received their text messages OK there was no text box for me to reply or create a new message for them. I've never exerienced this situation with only one-way texting where I expect it to be two-way. In general they appear to be only interested in making money (and why not?) but could not care less how they treat customers.
