Glossy but useless website
I was given a $50 Dan Murphy voucher and intended to spend it on home brew supplies. Their website mentioned home brew including the PET bottles I wanted. I tried to check with their store at Pasadena to make sure they had stock before I went there. That number wasn’t listed on the website so I called their 1300 number which timed out. I went to Pasadena and staff there were helpful but had no bottles or brew kits – I’d have to go to Marion for those - 8 km away and a long treck from the car park carrying 1.7 kg brew cans and 2 boxes of bottles. Why are so many companies producing glossy websites that don’t provide basic information such as store phone numbers or whether all stores carry all items? Why can’t I speak with a human? I told the Pasadena staff how useless the 1300 number was and they replied that their direct number wasn’t listed for cost saving: Dan Murphy 1 - Customer 0. I’ve asked relatives to stick with Big W or Coles vouchers.
