Unreliable and misleading
I booked my car in for a service, which was organised for today, Saturday 28/01/2023. The timeframe provided to me by Lube Mobile was between 2pm and 4pm. I received a call at 12:34pm on Saturday, which I missed. I immediately called back at 12:51pm where the operator advised me that she had no idea why I was being called and suggested to me that the mechanic may already be on the way and arriving before the scheduled time – which was great. About an hour later, at 1:47pm I received a call from another staff member advising that due to two mechanics booking off, he had to “shuffle things around” and asked if I can reschedule to the next week. I said no to which he advised that he had no other choice. This brings me to a series of questions: • Why was I not informed in the early morning that you are short staffed? I lost hours at work because of this. • Why would their staff member ask me to move my booing to next week and then proceed to say there is no other option? Was he trying to be nice? • I rightly asked for a discount due to the inconvenience and now having to miss two days of work. The staff member said he can waive the weekend call-out fee if he books me in on Monday. I was unaware that Monday is a weekend? What weekend fee is there to be waived on a business day? • The staff member said he called me around 10am to tell me about the above. This is untrue. I had no calls, texts or emails prior to 12:34pm. • The staff member tried to gain my sympathy for the short-staffed environment Lube Mobile has in their business however that is not my problem nor my concern. We are all struggling at work in the current climate. Why advertise their services the way you do when it is not true? I had high hopes going with Lube Mobile and looked forward to switching over to a mobile mechanic to save time and effort however this experience, which didn’t even result in at least a visit by a mechanic,, is absolutely shocking and a disgrace. Lube Mobile shouldn’t be offering the services they have on your website as they are false and misleading. This cannot be a one-off, I am sure there were others who received similar calls today as well. I know there are also some who probably were lucky enough to have their cars serviced. I wonder why they got through and I didn’t? Perhaps their vehicles were bigger jobs resulting in more $$$ for Lube Mobile.
