Duff Protostat clock / time post fitting heater..
Friday 17th Jan 2025. Installed all OK, cleaned dust post drilling et. Protostat time set / operating/ programing settings etc all covered thoroughly thanks. Matt & Ackerman happy with installation as were we too. However, after a wee while on checking the time, it had sadly not advanced. I reset it, waited a few mins, no advance of time :-( 😞 I contacted support, Matt called me back to check time was being set correctly. It was, we waited a few mins.. Still no advance of time.... Informed me the Protostat will need replacement, so Matt will arrange call back next week to arrange ASAP appointment to replace. As time not correct timer settings will not work controlling temp / time range set. So heater now turned off to NOT have it heating to 21'c all the time when not required. Monday 20th Jan 25(12:00). Phoned into Trust for a Sit Rep / Follow Up on our replacement Protostat? Line not the best so missed the name of the lass I spoke with, they hope to call us within 48 hours to be able to arrange a date for a visit ASAP. Un-happy with the 48 hours I stated as I was not happy as was a NEW installation, surely better support could be expected please? She will check with tech dept, hopefully be able to escalate to 24 hours.. OK will have to wait then, cheers.. Addition ~ 15:00 Wed 22nd Jan 25. Replacement component in Protostat earlier today, timer set as per our wishes many thanks. We're operating our 2K unit 24/7 with a min setting of 17' in our conservatory. The temp set to rise to 21' @ 11:00 until 21:00, then to 17'. Currently the room is warm enough to stay out there, the heater clicking on / off as needed to achieve the 21'. Further update in due course once metering / readings logged etc.
