Lebara Total Letdown
Hi, I recently went abroad to Spain(Costa brava) but while I was there I was unable to use any data on my iPhone 14 Pro. I contacted Lebara live chat on the Sunday 26th Nov 2023 & I was asked to change some settings on my phone & restart it. I did all this but was still unable to use data. I was asked to manually connect to Telefonica, but was unable to do this because it wasn’t an available network. The agent then rang me & asked me a few questions, but I still could not receive data. In the end I was told the problem would be passed to their technical dept & should be fixed in 3 days, which it wasn’t. I contacted Lebara live chat again on Thurs 30th Nov 2023 & had to go through a lot of what I had already done on the previous contact & still with no success. In the end I was told the problem would be escalated to a higher dept & would be fix in 24hrs or at worst 48hrs, which it wasn’t. When I returned to the uk, I contacted Lebara again through live chat to complain about the problem I had experienced. The agent apologised for this & offered me £5 compensation for the extreme inconvenience I had experienced. I declined this & asked for my complaint to be escalated to a more senior level. The agent said they will do this & I will receive a call later that day, which I didn’t nor to my knowledge did I receive a call anytime after that. Lebara seem to take great pride in saying how great a company they are & splashing WHICH logo’s all over their website, but unfortunately the experience I have received is nothing short of woeful. I was left without any data the whole time I was in Spain & still to this date, no explanation as to why they could not fix the problem. I now have no faith in Lebara being able to provide me with date while I’m abroad, which is essential for me as I keep all my holiday doc’s on my phone, so I will have to change provider before my next trip. I will say that while I’m in the UK I have not had a problem with Lebara, so have never had to contact their customer service. This has now been fixed by me simply suggesting swapping the SIM card.
