Robot dude tells me "HOPEFULLY" I will receive a credit for a canceled order!

placed an order at 9:50pm; at 11pm the restaurant called me telling me that they had already closed the kitchen and were sorry but they could not deliver. I guess I incorrectly assumed they would issue me a credit. 3 weeks later I realized I had not received a credit. called the restaurant and they told me they can't credit me that I have to call delivery.com. waited 8 minutes on their chat; then waited 15 mins on the cust service line. The person who answered sounded so much like a robot that i literally had to ask if I was speaking to a live person! He called the restaurant and a few minutes later while I was on hold I received a text message that my order was canceled. Robot dude gets back on the line and tells me...(I s h i t- you not), "I canceled your order and see that you paid via google so HOPEFULLY you will receive a credit within 5 business days". I asked him if he just said, "Hopefully, I will receive a credit" and he confirmed it. I told him I didn't pay via google, I paid with my credit card and he said, "Hmmm, let me see... I'm only seeing google and I don't know what their refund process is so hopefully you will get the credit from them" There was that word again, "HOPEFULLY". I had heard of delivery.com but had only used them once 2 years ago without a problem. while on hold, I had looked up their reviews to see if it was an isolated incident and noticed all the horrible reivews... I told Robot due that he should probably start looking for another company to work for..
