Kaplan is the only course that offers truly unlimited essay grading.
Kaplan is the only course that offers truly unlimited essay grading. When I was looking for my bar prep course, I was committed to shopping around because I did not have any interest in taking the bar exam more than once. I wanted whatever course was going to give me the absolute best resources no matter the price. At first glance, all of the companies were fairly comparable when it came to the lectures and MCQ practice (even though Kaplan now is the only course that still offers live lectures) but the feature that stopped me dead in my tracks was the unlimited essay and MPT grading. Some courses (Barbri) expected me to grade my own essays/MPTs during bar prep - I knew that was never going to work for me. Other courses (Themis) offered unlimited essay/MPT grading, but when I dug deeper, I found that their definition of "unlimited" was not the same as my definition. Kaplan was the only course that gave me truly, unrestricted access to any and all essays/MPTs that I wanted around the clock. And not only that, but certified attorney graders were going to give me feedback on every single essay and MPT that I submitted. I was going to be sitting next to others at the exam who were going to have only a few graded essays/MPTs under their belt knowing that I had hundreds under my belt. That was all that I needed to make my decision and there was not a single day of bar prep that I was not grateful for this feature. Then, on the day of the bar exam, I remember thinking, "I DARE them to show me an essay or performance test that I have not seen in some form already" because I had practiced so many to prepare for that day. And I was right! I walked out of the exam knowing that I passed because I knew that I had done everything that was expected of me because of how Kaplan prepared me. I 10/10 recommend doing whatever you can to have THAT feeling after finishing the bar exam and from my experience, Kaplan gives that to you.
