Extremely unreliable cloud service with a very bad app.

In July 2023 I tried IDrive but didn't like this application. So, I put all my backup files in the trash and removed this application. Now, 20 months later I decided to try this application again. Perhaps due to an update I'll like it now. To my astonishment all my files from 20 months ago are still in the trash. But there's a notice: "Files that have been in Trash for more than 30 days will be automatically deleted". I have 1590 files in trash but I can't delete them. If I select all files and click on 'Empty Trash' I get a message "Are you sure you want to empty trash?". I click on "Yes". The next screen shows "No files in Trash" but when I go back to 'Deleted Backup files' in 'Trash' all files are still there. I tried it many times two years ago and also now again. Files in Trash should not count to storage space but my free account shows "You have utilized the allocated storage space" while I have no files backed up at the moment. Only my Trash is full and can't be emptied. So, where are my deleted files if I have deleted all files and don't see any files in my storage? The message says that I have utilized my allocated storage space but my storage space in the application and website is 100% empty. If my files still remain on the IDrive server but don't show up on the IDrive application and website it means there's something completely wrong with this application. It's scary if you can't trust your personal files to a third party (in this case IDrive) and you have no idea what they are doing with your personal files. Do they still keep your files on their server or is something wrong with the application or website??? On major review sites such as TechRadar, PCMag, Macworld, Cloudwards, Tom's Guide, etc. IDrive has been listed for many years as the number one Cloud backup service. But when we check Trustpilot it seems that IDrive gets an extremely bad score of only 3.3. So, who do we trust? Reviews of so-called neutral review sites or independent users? Of course we trust users. A clear example that we can trust these so-called neutral review sites. From my personal experience I can only say that IDrive doesn't work. I strongly suggest not to use this backup service to backup your personal files. You can't rely on this service. It's one of the cheapest available but you get what you pay for. The price is very low but the reliability is even lower.
