Safety issues after car was serviced
My prado was serviced last month and had the brakes changed also. The mechanic had to come back out as he didn't adjust the handbrake correctly after putting the new brakes on. I have young children and a disability support worker, so i use my car a lot and could not have clients in my car as This was a major safety problem not being able to use my handbrake and I lost income due to this mistake. it took him nearly a week to come back out to rectify it. The past few days I noticed that my oil light flicking on and off. I popped the hood yesterday to discover he never put the oil cap back on. My engine bay is now covered in oil and the oil level was below minimum and I have been driving for quite some time with the oil cap off without even knowing. Im lucky the car didnt break down. I called and requested that they come out to fix the problem. They are coming to my work on Tuesday to attend to the car. Yet again 5 days after the problem was brought to the companies attention. I have a feeling this won't be the last issue to arise from this service. I called lube mobile to ask what oil they used in my car. A message was sent to the manager requesting that he call me ASAP to let me know. I am still waiting for that call... I put a small amount of oil in to get me by until Tuesday. I hope nothing happens between now and then and I hope no damage has been done to my engine.
