Mis sold an unsuitable service
I first contacted Express after recieving a letter after my house had been put on the market. I decided to call and see what they could offer. I was spun a very convincing sales pitch, and dispite my concerns about having to do my own viewings because A, I work away Monday to Friday and B, I live a 45 minutes drive away from the property making it quite inconvenient for me. I was told this wouldn't be a problem and they could work round my situation. I was told they specialise in selling properties in 28 days, although I wasn't told what that meant and how they achieved that, despite me asking. I got 2 viewings booked in the first week so I was optimistic that it could work. Unfortunately I didn't receive any feedback and didn't hear anything from anyone for about 6 weeks. I decided to ring them and see what was going on but it took until the end of the week for me to get any kind of response. After hearing back, the recommended course of action was to lower the asking price so I reluctantly agreed. I got 2 more viewings but still had to chase up the feedback. Since then I've had no further viewings because the requests are coming in for mid week, which I can't do, so I'm actually losing viewings despite being told weekends only wouldn't be a problem. This service is totally unsuitable for me, but the sales team didn't seem to care and just wanted to reel me in without a consideration for my circumstances. On top of that, the proposed fee is the same as a high street agent who would do the viewings for me. In short, I have to do my own viewings, arrange the times AND chase the feedback. What exactly am I paying you to do? Think very carefully before getting suckered in by the sales pitch. I would seriously avoid using this, and any other online based estate agent. I certainly won't be using express again, nor will I recommend them.
