Great local manager, fixed the problem

I had ordered some mesh spacers for concrete work via the web. The price was ridiculous but had no choice as the concrete was scheduled for delivery. I posted a review here regarding my experience, it wasn't positive. Travis Perkins put me in touch with the local manager (Reece at Park Gate, Hampshire) who apologised, explained the issues with web ordering and offered a discount on the next order. He delivered on this offering to also source one item not listed on the website. Very happy indeed and did as good as he promised.

Making an effort but processes need a little work

A company with the right idea but some glitches in process. First, Wyatt was very helpful and communications were efficient and constructive. This is easy when everything goes perfectly but we had a couple of hiccups and he was on the case. Part of the order was delivered today, the rest next week. Today's delivery was bricks which were not of the type ordered. I mentioned this to them but did not need to take it further as those delivered will do the job. They were prepared to work to sort this out but not necessary on this occasion and the problem appears to be with a depot not reading the order properly. On the plus side, Wyatt ensured that I knew when the delivery was to occur and it happened as stated. This is not a negative review as the sign of a good company is what they do when things do not go right. Building Materials do make an effort and I do not anticipate any problems with the rest of the deliveries that cannot be fixed with the level of attention already demonstrated.
