Arrived only to be told that the trip i had booked didn't exist!
I am not local to London and I had to make the journey down from Scotland to see my brother for the first time in over a year. I initially booked this experience for his birthday in October last year and for the past few months we have been really looking forward to having a day out on the Thames Jet speedboats. When we arrived we were informed that we had placed on the wrong manifest, for a trip that wasn't running. They said they could either put us on a later trip or put us on a cruise which would take us to Greenwhich (from Westminster) and leave us there - neither of which were viable options as we had a dinner reservation that couldn't be pushed back. I explained our situation to two of the City Cruises staff on the pier and they suggested that if we reached out to the Customer Services team then we would be offered some sort of compensation due to the frustrating experience we had, or rather didn't have. Unfortunately the Customer Services team responded by saying there's nothing they can do other than rebook us or refund us, which isn't really the compensation I was hoping for after I'm going to have to make another trip across the UK for this. I'm sure the speedboats are great fun but I'm extremely disappointed with how all of this has been handled and i wouldn't recommend City Cruises to anyone based on my experience.
