AVOID - Lies and manipulation
Only have 1 star because I had to! This is not even worth 0 stars. First time I visited few years ago I didn’t have a good experience and now again I’m having a bad experience so I says everything really. I seen a post online stating a cat had been found and brought into the clinic fitting my lost cat’s description and found deceased on a street my cat always plays on (next to my house) on the day he went missing. I rang to go view and identify this cat so I could bring him home if it was him. I was told the cat had already been identified and claimed. I left it at this and continued to post and search for my boy. Until I was getting messages from the person who found this cat saying it was definitely my cat he found and took to the vets after seeing our pictures online. I then rang the vets back to explain this situation and was then told no ginger cat was brought into the clinic that day. Very confusing as I spoke to someone the day before regarding it!! I was then asked to send pictures, which I did but nobody took my concern seriously and I was fobbed me off each time with just the statement ‘cat has already been claimed’. I then asked if we could have pictures so we so identify and put our minds at rest. I was then told no pictures could be sent as the body had already been cremated. I then got in contact with the lady who claimed and identified this cat as hers. We compared pictures and she was unsure and gave us permission to go view the cat as he’s only being created Monday (4 days away). Confused as I was already told he had been cremated I rang the vets and asked if I could view the body to be told again he has been cremated already. I then relayed the information to the lady who claimed him and she was upset because she did not make any cremation decisions yet (individual or communal) !! She then rang the vets herself and they told her the cat had NOT been cremated so then I rang again to say if he’s not been cremated then can we come see him to be told AGAIN for the 3rd time that he’s definitely been cremated and they checked his file and denied ever speaking to someone else telling them he’s not cremated. The lady who claimed the cat then rang to find out what was going on and told the vets to let us see the cat, they then apologised to her and said it was a mistake and they confirmed the cat has NOT been cremated and that we can’t see the cat because they are emergency vets and case is closed. I then found out the lady who claimed the cat lives a good distance away from where the cat was found and her cat had a collar on (cat found had no collar) and went missing a while ago. Our cat went missing the day that cat was found, had no collar on(like the cat found) and lives next to the street he was found. The man who found him took a picture of the tail and back legs of the cat when he found him and it is identical to our cat when comparing pictures. I sent face pictures of our cat and the other ladies cat to the man who found him and both him and his wife 100% confirmed it was our cat and no doubt about it. The man who found him was shocked that the vets identified the cat as the other person’s and contacted them to tell them a mistake had been made but again the vets didn’t care. They wouldn’t send us pictures, wouldn’t let us view him and kept lying to us. They had no compassion or care. If the lying couldn’t get any worse they also told us the cat had already been collected but when speaking to the other lady she confirmed she was on holiday and did not collect the cat yet and that he would be at the vets at least another few days. AVOID unless you want to be fed lies and manipulation regarding your babies.
