HSN’s ‘Neutral Flavour’ Protein Is Sweetened – Misleading & No Refund
I purchased EVONATURAL 2.0 (Neutral Flavour) in May 2025, trusting HSN’s description. The product was clearly sweetened with stevia and had a distinct sweet taste — which contradicts the meaning of “neutral flavour” as used by other brands and understood by consumers. When I tried to return it, the official return link on HSN’s website was broken (404 error), preventing me from following their process. Support dismissed my case as a “taste preference” issue, ignored the broken link, and hid behind policy. This is not about taste. It is about misleading marketing and a blocked return process. I had trusted HSN as a loyal customer, but this experience has changed that. This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave a negative review, which says a lot about how poorly this was handled. I am escalating this to the European Consumer Centre Belgium under EU consumer law. I will not purchase from HSN again unless they correct these practices. Think twice before trusting HSN. Update after company’s reply: Thank you to HSN for replying. I value when companies take the time to engage with customer feedback. That said, the reply still leaves two critical points unaddressed: Misleading labelling – A product marketed as “neutral flavour” but tasting sweetened with stevia conflicts with how this term is commonly understood by consumers and competitors alike. Clear labelling protects trust, which benefits both customers and the brand. Broken return link – The official return portal produced a 404 error, preventing me from returning the product via the normal process. This was not a matter of preference, but a procedural failure outside my control. I have made every effort to resolve this directly and have even shared comparisons to illustrate why customers would reasonably expect a flavourless product. Unfortunately, these concerns remain unanswered. For this reason, I am now proceeding with a formal complaint through the European Consumer Centre Belgium (ECC). This is not about one refund; it is about ensuring future buyers receive accurate information and a fair process. I genuinely hope HSN considers clarifying this product’s description so that customers can continue to buy with confidence.
