Funds disappear/Fund safety concerns
WEEX has been a solid platform overall. Good coin selection, smooth UI, and customer support that used to be responsive. I’ve been using this exchange for almost a year without issues. However, recently my entire spot balance was transferred into futures without my authorization and immediately liquidated. I was not at home, had 2FA enabled, no copy trading, no unified margin, and 0 funds in futures before this incident. There were also no new login alerts or suspicious access records. Support claimed the transfers and losses were caused by GTC orders placed from my PC, which is impossible since futures had zero balance and I was not present. The funds moved in a repeated “ping-pong” pattern between spot and futures, indicating a system or risk-engine issue, not user action. I filed for compensation with full details, but received an automated rejection without proper investigation or reconciliation logs. This experience seriously raises concerns about asset safety and backend risk controls on WEEX. I hope the team addresses this transparently, because until this incident, my experience was positive.
