Having booked flights using expedia…
Having booked flights using expedia through Czech Airlines, I was contacted within a week or two to state that the return flight had been cancelled and offered an alternative flight. I then received an email 2 months later to state that my flight had been cancelled without any explanation. I then called Czech Airlines who said they would not speak with me as it was booked through Expedia. In calling Expedia, they advised me there was no alternative but to give me a refund. I had no choice but to accept this, only to be told it will take up to 12 weeks for me to get my money back! In challenging this and stating that I expected a an immediate refund or a maximum of 1 week, they advised me that this will not happen. Why? Because they advised me that my money had been sent to Czech Airlines and they cannot refund me until Czech Airlines had refunded them!! Disgraceful. I made the booking with Expedia, so they should refund me. Czech airlines should have already refunded Expedia as they cancelled my flight. Why is it I have to chase for my own refund and why is this going to take up to 12 weeks! Am I a bank that loans money to organisations? Book with either of these organisations at your peril!
