This is my seventh claim on my sewer line in three years. We have inches of sewer mud in the front section of our basement every time it backs up which is more often than not. My family has developed respiratory issues as a result and the damage to our basement is substantial. My entire line needs to be replaced. Every time a contractor comes they replace one small section at a time. I don’t understand why they don’t replace the entire line. I have reached the point where I’m getting estimates for a liner to be installed at my own expense. The only saving grace is that for all of the thousands of dollars worth of work that has been done I only pay a co pay but we have been living like this for years and it’s not healthy. I’ve actually reached out to several individuals to see if I can recoup for damges to our house and our health. One of us seems to constantly have a respiratory issue as a result of this ongoing problem.
