What happened...
Like many other guests, we were caught off guard by the SHORT notice to vacate our condo, almost two weeks short of our end date. (We do appreciate the prompt refund we received from BR for unused dates). Up to that time, we were enjoying our winter at the beach. We were being well taken care of by staff. Irene, Ricardo, Monica, Thank You! We have rented from BR for about 18 years, first as weekly guests, advancing to snowbirds. Our condos have generally been very comfy and inviting. For the last two years I don’t feel we got what we paid for. We rented our unit with the promise that it would be completely updated (and it needed it) including new furniture in the living/dining area. Again, this was two years ago. After promises of delivery and “making things right” all that was delivered were living room tables and dining chairs. Would like to say the bedrooms are great but we don’t spend a lot of time there. Many of our friends pay the same as we do per month but their units are warm, inviting and completely updated. Our unit is not. We understand things happen beyond our control but it would have been nice if we were given the correct information and not just empty promises. We love OB and want to return to the area when all this uncertainty ends. Overall, most of our experiences with BR have been favorable and we hope our concerns about the unit are taken seriously.
