Understanding and Experiencing the knowledge of Health and Social Care.
My experience when doing my course was really good as it gave me a clear understanding of the course .Thanks to my assessor who went an extra mile in giving me the knowledge base of my level 3 course.I have a clear understanding of what I should expect within the work setting.She assisted and supported me through workshops and allowing me to express myself and explain my work the way I know how.An on hand way was for my assessor to see me engaging with residents, promoting dignity and respect and also by giving my residents a choice.I have learnt that each individual is different and taking necessary feedback from the residents themselves aswell as carers and family members that help me as a carer to understand them better and to assist them with their day to day care.My assessors also explained what can occur within care homes and communication is the key aspect to what is required of me and the individual. I have understood the meaning of safeguarding,How and when is the best possible way to approach my residents ,The different types of abuse and how polices and procedures are implemented in the work place .I am now on my way to a bigger and better project to further my qualifications in university and to be recognised for what I do.
