Changing order

I needed to add something to my order, I rang and was told that I would need to contact the local shop responsible for the delivery. I rang the shop, was told I could only change the order online, I explained what I was told on the previous call, I was then put on hold for 10 mins, at which point I ended the call. A simple request made impossibly difficult.
