I would give zero stars if possible
I would give zero stars if possible. I've been off my medication since November 2022 and desperately needed to get back on. It took me a month just to build up the courage to book an appointment. Within the first few minutes of talking to the provider, I was crying and frustrated. She was rude and interrupted me. I was trying to list the medications I was on and she wouldn't let me finish. She then told me I needed blood work done before she could prescribe anything. I was totally fine with this but let her know I didn't have a primary care doctor and wasn't sure where to go. She just kept saying I needed blood work without answering my questions. I asked which kind of bloodwork to request and she listed a name quickly and moved on even after I asked for clarification. I'm not a doctor, I have very little experience even as a patient with this sort of thing. I needed help and clarity, not an attitude and judgment. Within 10 minutes I told her this was a mistake and hung up. She never followed up or apologized. I reached out to Brightside support as soon as I hung up. I requested a new provider ASAP or a refund. It took days and days to get a response. By the time I got any response, I had already booked an appointment with a provider outside of Brightside and started my medication (without blood work, I might add). I was told I can't get a refund because the services had been provided and an insurance claim was filed. 1) services were not provided. I hung up quickly after being brought to tears! Is that what Brightside considers mental health services?? 2) Had I received a timely response, an insurance claim would not have needed to be filed. Overall this was an awful experience and I will never recommend Brightside to anyone.
