Getting better everytime with Kaplan.
I've used Kaplan from around my second year of basic sciences. My first memorable experience was using it to prepare for NBME physiology shelf that my school makes us take at the end of basic sciences. I did all the physiology questions on Kaplan about 2 to 3 times. I did a first pass while reviewing all the explanations for both the right and incorrect answers, kind of like a review. Then, I did all the incorrects and finally, I did all the questions again. I did not do this for my other 2 NBME shelves, pathology and pharmacology and though I passed all three shelves, however my physiology was significantly better than the other two. So in preparing for CBSE and Step 1, I used Kaplan again to strengthen my basics system wise and would do system based questions. For my clinicals and in preparation for Step 2, the videos have been amazing as well as the tips on doing well on each rotation.
