Intrepid's "Best of Morocco" tour didn't disappoint!
My husband and I participated in the "Best of Morocco" trip in November 2023 and indeed, we felt it was one of the best trips we've taken - our third with Intrepid. Our guide, Hamid Boulmane, was incredibly efficient at organizing everything from train/bus tickets to luggage porters at most sights, entry to the many museums, historical sights and other activities. He was gracious, fun, very knowledgeable about country and especially the Berber culture, and caring. He went out of his way to accommodate us all through our very intensive "15" days. Our accommodations for the most part were very good - certainly always clean and comfortable. Intrepid's environmental policies mesh with our own and their support of local businesses is important to us. Our guide provided us with large containers of drinking water every day for the entire trip - we filled our own drinking bottles from this cache which was available at each hotel 24/7. Saved us a lot of time hunting down water and saved a lot of extra plastic bottles going into the landfill. As well, our empty large water containers were passed on to Berber families we visited for their continued use. We were truly able to make the most of our time covering a good part of Morocco by train and by private mini-bus - with an excellent driver. When we extended our stay by a day, even though the tour was over, Hamid helped us get train tickets back to Casablanca for our flight and texted us even the following day to ensure we got the train safely and were on our way. We had an amazing group of 13 people aged 25-77 - what a wonderful experience we had together!
