Really antiquated tech, slow and simply out of touch.
I've had to use heart on behalf of various customers over the years and the web hosting is always slow compared to other ISPs and worse, their backend platforms seem to have hardly changed in 10/15 years and are incredibly limited functionality wise and just horribly antiquated. On top of that, very unfriendly and complicated to navigate. Heart have shown no interest in investing in new tech it seems, a bizarre strategy in this business. The most recent frustration is how deliberately hard they make it to cancel auto renewals of service. The website control panel is literally broken and makes no sense in various places on the screens that deal with this configuration in the case of the account I'm using. So I had to raise a ticket to request no auto renew. A response came that this was noted and the services wouldn't renew. A week later surprise surprise, an automated email comes telling me that they are about to renew.
