I'm Thankful for the experience I had a great outcome
I'm Thankful for the experience I had with the energy ombudsman’s case worker who was patient and allowed me enough time to hear my dispute with the electricity supply company whose name isn’t known at all, I haven’t heard of this supplier before until moving into my newly acquired property. This supplier overcharged me for electricity costs which was overwhelmingly too high. They went further threatening me with legal letters to pay up even when there was a dispute being looked at by the Ombudsman. I contacted their solicitors that sent the 'Notice of Legal Proceedings' to know if they are aware the case is with the Ombudsman and they said no and had to apologise that the supplier didn’t inform them. Their actions were unacceptable and I'm grateful that I challenged these high charges by taking the dispute to the Energy Ombudsman and the decision arrived at by the Ombudsman few days ago is highly accepted and welcomed. I will encourage every person and UK consumers of all sorts to not give in to these big companies and just pay up to avoid having trouble rather dispute with the companies first and if not satisfied (which no one won't be TBH) and take it forward with a deadlock letter to the Ombudsman. I have confidence in the Energy Ombudsman and I assured myself that I'll be listened to and get the appropriate help which I did.
