Avoid this unethical education provider!

After extremely high pressure sales tactics by a persistent sales person and then by his boss, I was signed up to a five course package for a "special" price of $8,800 plus GST. A price which included $3,250 of exam fees. However, offer was only valid for the next 2 days. I told them my baby was due to next month and I was going to be a new father for the first time at the age of 53 and to give me a couple of months to think about it. They said these courses would be easy, even for someone my age. They even sent me a video of a bunch of testimonials, highlighting a 50 year old previous student. After more pressure I signed but they wanted all their money upfront. They wouldn't accept payments. As I wasn't eligible for finance as I wasn't working, they organised it under my wife's name. Over the next few months I realised how poor and out of date their learning materials were. I even had to learn from Professor Messer and BurningIceTech on Youtube (free) just to help me past the first exam just barely. I asked them for a extension as I knew I was never going to finish these courses in time. They refused. After asking for a %50 refund to be fair and outlining my reasons, they refused again. I asked them, what about the $3,250 in exam fees that I haven't and will not be sitting for, minus the $250 first course I did. They avoided this question and simply said look at the contract I signed. I guess that is more profit in their pockets. They did finally offer to extend my courses for another 3 months after told them I will be complaining. However, 3 months is no where near enough. Please do not be pressured into signing anything, especially to unethical businesses like this where they have no morals.
