I wrote to the CEO of Hyatt Residence Club owned by Marriott about the horrific experience my partner and I endured at their sales presentation. The whole ordeal was not only a colossal waste of our time but also an insult to our intelligence. From the moment we stepped into what can only be described as a meticulously orchestrated trap, it was clear that the Hyatt team had one goal in mind: to pressure us into making a decision that suited them, not us. Despite our clear and repeated refusals, the sales team persisted with a level of aggressiveness that was both shocking and completely unacceptable. The entire experience was a disgraceful display of deceptive sales practices, and it has left us both angry and disappointed. We entered Hyatt’s establishment in good faith, expecting a professional and honest discussion about a potential investment opportunity. Instead, we were subjected to a high-pressure, manipulative sales pitch that was both exhausting and infuriating. The sales process was excruciatingly arduous, extending well beyond four hours when we were promised it would take approximately one hour. In an even more disturbing turn of events, we were prevented from leaving when we expressed our desire to discuss the matter privately and take some time to think. Despite our repeated declines to more than four different high-pressure offers, Hyatt representatives insisted that we had no time to consider our options, claiming the offer was only valid for that very day and moment. This level of high-pressure salesmanship is not only unethical but verges on illegal, as we felt our rights were completely disregarded in their pursuit of a sale. Heed this warning, stay away from this company, and if you don’t, you will regret it just like we do.
