I got a new charge added to an old gas…
I got a new charge added to an old gas account that I paid in full and closed 8 months ago. MJ emailed saying “I want to assure you that you don’t have to pay anything for that account, as it has been closed and there is no outstanding bill. I sincerely apologise for any confusion caused by the email you received. Please feel free to disregard it.” Then 2 minutes later MJ emailed me saying “I wanted to clarify that your previous gas account has an outstanding amount of $25.60.” It was only added to the closed account today 10/05/25, and another Origin rep named Ricardo said it was because Energex forgot it 8 months ago. Not my mistake so why should I pay this??
