Lies, harassment and incompetence - steer clear!
Since an appalling experience with installation (see previous review) I have received dozens of phone calls from First over mere months badgering me to buy yet more crappy services from these cowboys. On one day I received two phone calls in the space of 15 minutes! This is tantamount to harassment. First's complaints process is about effective as a chocolate teapot. After much wrangling and time-wasting they took me off their 'contact list'. Then a local manager tried to placate me with a discount off one of the services... that his call agent colleagues had been badgering me to buy! Insensitive and stupid or what? I said to him I do not accept this and that I do not consider the complaint resolved. He promptly lied to his head office and said that he had in fact resolved the complaint! First also appear to have no policy governing the number of people they call per day or per whatever period of time. So, in theory, a First agent could call you 30 or 40 times a day and still not get into trouble for it. Unbelievable. This harassment, these lies and First's all-round, multi-level unprofessionalism have caused me masses of stress and wasted lots of time (I am self-employed and so time is money). Any hope of some actual compensation from these cowboys? Have a wild guess as to their response to that question. Avoid at all costs. If you don't, it'll cost you a lot!
