Unprofessional customer service and poor app functionality
Have been using IMO car wash for some years. Was excited to see the app launch, however, it hasn’t quite lived up to expectation. No customer support, no feedback and what it says on the app is not what you get at the car wash. On three occasions the car wash has broken down or had no power after I have paid - one time I got to come back to get a drive through but the other 2 times I’ve arrived back and the different attendants won’t accept that it broke down and have no record of it ( after the initial attendant said he would log it). I paid for a full interior wash (£13) to go through the car wash and then pay the outstanding (£12) after interior wash. I collected my car and it had only been hand washed as they had no power. He said I could come back for the wash and I took my receipt. When I went back the gentleman who attended to me (the owner) was on holiday for a month so he wouldn’t assist me. I said I would never go back but this is the only place (Byker) that has the updated system. Went back yesterday for a Cermaic Xtr and got a standard wash before going inside - not what the print says on the app with regards to wheels and special applications and a decent hand wash before going in. I informed the manager afterwards and he basically told me the attendant had done it and walked away. The app doesn’t log my usage - sent an email but have never received a reply to date. When you try use the special offers when they scan your loyalty QR code in the wallet they say they don’t know what it is and won’t scan it. Sad how things go down hill. There is the older wash in Benton but it’s very old and outdated but you pay the same prices as the new system. I won’t be returning except for the free voucher wash that comes every month with my car insurance.
