Extremely Unprofessional Exam Conditions - A Terrible Experience
I took the PgMP Program Management Professional exam on July 1st, 2025 at the IBS Global test center in Paris (Rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin), and the experience was absolutely unacceptable. On the day of the exam, the test center was literally undergoing wall demolition works. The noise was unbearable, with constant hammering and intense vibrations that made it extremely hard to concentrate. They even gave me a headset, but it was completely useless against the construction noise. To make things worse, the testing room was very hot, in the middle of the Paris summer, and the small fans they provided made no real difference. The environment was simply not suitable for any professional exam, let alone something as intense and expensive as the PgMP. I reported all of this to PMI, expecting support or at least a fair solution. Instead, I was told multiple times that they “understand my situation” but can’t do anything. I raised the issue three times, but the only answer I received was that I could pay again to retake the exam. This is unacceptable. It is clear to me that PMI does not inspect or monitor the conditions of their test centers, and their priority seems to be collecting exam fees, not ensuring a fair and professional testing environment. After this experience, I have lost trust in PMI, its certifications, and its customer support. No candidate should be forced to take an exam under such conditions and then be told to pay again for something that was not their fault.
