New Controller, instant co-op disappointment, Chat Mixer did not work properly. Audio Terrible
I ordered a Scuf Valor Pro on 06/12/2025 and the first hiccup was an unexpected shipping issue as the package only made it a brief distance from the distribution facility and was then returned to sender. For perspective I live in Eastern Canada so it was no where near me. After several inquires as to what was going on with my order, I was then reassured it was processed back at their facility and then resent. I received my order on 07/06/2025.... The controller imediatly looks and feels awesome, I was super excited to get to use it as I had been without a controller while waiting on the shipment. Once received my initial feedback was high and excited, but unfortunately as soon as I plugged in a headset and attempted to play with my friends things changed. While the Scuf Valor Pro has a built in chat mixer, the control of it took me a few youtube videos to try and master, but that didnt help. I tried every setting imaginable, watched countless videos, it didnt help. The chat volume remains maxed, much higher than game volume, and when you attempy to mix in the game higher and chat lower, it simply distorts the voice to sound robotic. I tested two brand new head sets with the same result for both, and even borrowed a controller to see if it was something else only to find there is no audio issues with the borrowed one. I researched and looked up and down, I did stumble upon a reddit chain that advised of similar issues. After reaching out to Scuf, all they would do is as me to send it back to see if it could be fixed. I just got the damn thing......... Overall terrible experience, and I would not recommend purchasing, I am basically stuck with an expensive single player controller at this point. Yes I could send it back, but then I am waiting another 2-4 weeks to get it returned when it should be functioning fine without issues.
