Grubby spamming operation
Most of us haven't chosen to work with Van Mildert. We just have to in order to get a roof over our head. At one point they said I had to get a guarantor because I have a zero-hours contract (I don't). They asked me if I earned shares in the charity I work for (!?!). I was dealing with them at 1am (from overseas) sending paperwork after paperwork to prove to them I could afford to pay the rent. They kept telling me that they needed more. When they were finally satisfied, instead of telling me all was okay, they just stopped returning my emails. Leaving me wide awake ahead of a busy day wondering what had happened. But worst of all, having had no choice in dealing with them, is getting constant spam afterwards about renters insurance etc. I don't recall being asked if you could use my details in such way. How dare you profit from me? Toe rags. Honestly, working for a company that actively seeks to empower landlords and keep out tenants must be soul destroying - but for it just to turn into a grubby little spamming operation. Nasty company.
