Adv. Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy
I do find Chrysalis Adv. Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy good. I like the fact that course notes are available in advance of course days. Having no exams at the end of each year does have its advantages however the flip side of this is that are lot of assignments. This is a constant challenge combining family, work commitments with the large number of assignments to complete. I found the response to continuing the course during Covid 19 very good. It was great being able to view webinars in advance of the course days and I think this is something that would worth continuing going forward. Being able to use Zoom for course days has its merits and not having to travel to venues. Some more support around seeking a placement/ counselling hours would be helpful. The level of experience of the tutors also adds to the quality of delivery of modules . Being able to view webinars on each module from more experienced tutors who can give more real live examples can support those less experienced tutors who rely quite heavily on reading directly from the course notes. I would also ask what is Chrysalis doing to secure BACP recognition considering that they did have it in previous times? Overall I would recommend this course to others.
