Very disappointed, their medical experts didn't even get my diagnosis correct!
Very disappointed with Slater and Gordon. Based on the detailed account of my medical negligence claim when I spoke to the paralegal for over an hour, she reported back to me that the solicitors were very interested in my claim and that they now needed my permission to pass my details on to their medical experts. Well, this resulted in a rejection of my case and the reason they gave was because their medical ' experts ' had decided that no wrong had been done and they explained why. But there was huge problem with the explanations in their Dear John. Firstly, they said that the doctors had done everything correctly - but they were talking about a different condition to the one that I was complaining about and therefore, they were wrong. They didn't even take the time to make sure they had the correct diagnosis and secondly, they said they had considered my medical notes very carefully but the truth is that they hadn't even asked to see my medical records! The whole experience was a complete waste of my time and energy and the truth would have been better. The truth is that they want the more simple black and white cases that will add another star to their good reputation, they don't want anything that they have to think about. Another thing about them that loses points, is that it's impossible to get hold of them on the phone! It's always busy and even when selecting the option for a callback, they still don't call back. As I said, a very disappointing experience from a company that's too big to care!
