Avoid
Avoid – Pushy sales, misleading tactics & no respect for time I booked a 5pm appointment and was told it would take about an hour – fine, even while cooking dinner for my two little ones. I sent them across the road thinking I’d be done in time. The reps were polite enough, but the sales pitch was ridiculously long and intense. As someone who works in sales, I found the whole approach patronising and outdated. I even joked midway through that I wasn’t the kind of customer who needed the whole branding and company story, but they kept going. After over 2.5 hours, I was finally given a quote of £24k, which then conveniently dropped to £15k after some questionable “take offs.” They also kept saying things like, “There are only two spots left in the area at this price,” and that I had been “selected” – completely untrue, as I had contacted the company myself. These tactics are designed to pressure people, and it felt really uncomfortable. Meanwhile, I was getting calls that my kids needed to be picked up – I made that clear several times, and still got hit with “just five more minutes.” It’s Friday night. Read the room. Eventually I said we’d consider the £15k quote, only to be told I had to sign there and then or lose the deal – even though I’d made it very clear from the start that we wouldn’t be in a position to go ahead until Christmas. We only agreed to the appointment because we were told there was a 12-month fixed fee option. When I asked them to leave, they refused. I had to leave my own home with the door open just to get away and collect my children, hoping they’d be gone when I returned. To top it all off, no one from the company has even followed up – over a week later – to check how the appointment went. For a supposedly “reputable” company, that lack of aftercare is pretty telling. High-pressure tactics, misleading information, and no regard for customer circumstances.
